The White Rock Jazz & Blues Festival, Presented by REMAX Colonial Pacific, hosts an intimate Blues show in Caffe Artigiano featuring renowned Vancouver duo Harris & DeBray.
Join us for a special evening- intimate and casual- featuring these two beloved Blues & Roots performers in one of White Rock’s award-winning businesses.
About Harris & DeBray:
Leslie and Curtis met in a rock band in Penticton, BC in 1997 and formed a musical bond that has led them through many fun projects over the years. Harris&DeBray is their latest baby and from the get go, it was apparent that this was something special. Curtis is well known as a unique and mind-blowing guitarist. He’s got style, skill and ideas that are way outside the box – so there’s that. Throw in his beautiful singing voice and laid back persona and you’ve got DeBray. Leslie (Harris) is a well established singer and performer with a chocolatey soulful Bonnie Raitt-ish sound and vivacious personality – but who knew she could play percussion? She built her “stomp” (a slab of mahogany with an acoustic guitar pickup taped to the bottom) to add some beat and bottom, threw in a hi hat and Harris&DeBray’s totally organic, unique sound was born.
